The story of a young Irish girl who dives into sorcery and experiments with different magical traditions. The book is full of short, memorable sections that could fill any page with “thoughtful quotes”. But there is not much of a plot and the focus is more on words than a story. Which make it lack depth.
There are also quite a bit focus on gender differences and stereotyping that I disliked.
